Frequently Asked Questions

Whereabouts are you based?

Our sessions are based outdoors at St John Fisher High School, Harrogate.

I'm interested in your adult sessions, I haven't played since school - is this okay?

Absolutely, come along, meet some like minded people whilst having some fun and learning a new skill. Our sessions focus on key skills that players at all levels will learn of fine tune.

What does my daughter need to be ready for the session?

Clothing suitable for the weather, including a hat and gloves if it's cold, a bottle of water, a pair of trainers, to ensure hair is tied up and any jewellery is removed.

How old does my daughter need to be to take part in your sessions?

Our sessions cater to girls between the ages of school years 1 and 9.

Can my son take part in any of your netball sessions?

At the moment your son can come along to our Y1&2 sessions. We would love to get more boys playing our wonderful sport, so please get in touch if this is something you would like us to cater for!

My daughter has never played netball before, is this session suitable for her?

Absolutely, Strive Netball is all about getting girls into netball.

Will I get a refund if the weather is bad?

If it is not safe to run the session due to the weather, it will be cancelled and a refund will be provided. If you request a refund for another reason, refunds will only be provided if you cancel with more than 72 hours' notice. If you have purchased a four session package, we will firstly look to book you onto a new slot. All refunds requested by participants will be subject to a 50p administrative charge

Will my daughter get to play any matches?

Strive is not a netball club and will not be entered into any leagues, match play will take place during training sessions so that players are able to put their skills into practice and become confident with the rules of netball.  Strive Netball will help to signpost your daughter to clubs as much as possible.

My daughter is already in a club, but does not play in a franchise or county pathway, is this suitable for her?

Strive is suitable for those who may already be involved in club play, to support the development of their skills.

What is a '4 session package'?

A 4 session package allows you to book 4 sessions for £20, therefore receiving a discount. You can purchase the plan, and then you will need to go onto the booking page and select the slot you want to book and redeem your package against the 4 sessions you want to enrol your daughter on.

Can I block book the sessions?

The sessions must be booked one at a time using the booking page. However, there is no limit on how far in advance you can book the sessions for example, if you wanted your daughter to have access to two months worth of training you could still book 8 individual sessions.
